Terms of service

The service

filesnare.com lets you request files from other people and send files to them through expiring links. We're currently in public beta, which means the product is evolving — features may change, be added, or be removed.

Your account

You're responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your sign-in email secure. If you think someone else has access to your account, let us know at help@filesnare.com.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use filesnare.com to:

• Distribute malware, viruses, or anything else designed to harm.
• Share content that's illegal where you or the recipient lives, including content that infringes copyright or other rights.
• Harass, threaten, or impersonate anyone.
• Attempt to break or abuse the service — probing for vulnerabilities, sending automated traffic without permission, or otherwise interfering with normal operation.

We may suspend or remove accounts and content that violate these rules.

Your content

You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant us a limited licence to store and transmit your files solely so we can deliver the service to you and your intended recipients.

Pricing

filesnare.com is free to use during our public beta. We'll give you reasonable notice before introducing paid plans, and any such changes won't apply retroactively to files already in your account.

Beta software, no warranty

The service is provided "as is". While we work hard to keep filesnare.com reliable and secure, we don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or fit a particular purpose. You use it at your own discretion.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, filesnare.com and its operators aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (which, during beta, is zero).

Changes to these terms

We'll update this page if the terms change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
