Cookie policy

Last updated 2026-05-15

filesnare.com uses cookies for one thing: keeping you signed in. No advertising, no cross-site tracking, no third-party analytics fingerprinting.

What we use cookies for

  • Authentication. A session cookie set by BetterAuth so you stay signed in between pages. The session itself lives in our Redis store (Upstash); the cookie just carries the identifier.
  • Security. A CSRF token where forms need it, to prevent cross-site request forgery against your account.

What we don't use cookies for

  • No advertising or retargeting cookies.
  • No cross-site tracking.
  • No analytics fingerprinting or third-party trackers.

Consent

The cookies we set are strictly necessary to deliver the service you've asked for. Under UK PECR and the EU ePrivacy Directive, strictly necessary cookies don't require a consent banner, so we don't show one.

Clearing cookies

You can clear filesnare.com cookies from your browser settings at any time. Signing out from the dashboard also invalidates your session immediately.

Changes

We'll update this page if our cookie use changes. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
